Attorney General Alberto Gonzales named a new chief of staff on Tuesday. Gonzales' pick: Kevin O'Connor, the U.S. Attorney for Connecticut. O'Connor replaces Chuck Rosenberg, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, who had taken the post on an interim basis since last month. Rosenberg had replaced D. Kyle Sampson, who resigned the job as the attorney general's top aide last month amid questions over his role in the firings of eight U.S. Attorneys.
