The question for State Bar members is whether they wish to be represented by one who professionally is like them, that is, a lawyer practicing meaningfully in New Jersey and who therefore has their interests at heart.

To the Editor:
As a former president of the N.J. State Bar Association and the proponent of a proposed bylaw amendment to require that officers and trustees practice primarily in this state, I am responding to the LGBT Section’s recent email to other sections’ members, which is wrong in both substance and tone.
