A vehicular homicide charge was lodged on Wednesday against the driver of the car that struck and killed Mark Infante, an Essex County litigator who had been nominated to a state administrative law judgeship.

Christal Vallee, 26, of Brick also was accused of reckless driving and having heroin in her car when she hit Infante, a West Orange resident spending the Thanksgiving weekend with his family at their vacation home in Lavallette.
