Friday was the last day for comments on the SEC’s proposed rules for implementing the so-called whistleblower bounty provisions of Dodd-Frank, and the Association of Corporate Counsel has sent the commission its second sharply critical letter (pdf) in a week.

Wednesday’s letter (pdf) spelled out the association’s detailed objections, and top lawyers at 270 companies signed on. The new letter offers ACC’s specific suggestions for how to fix the proposed rules. This one presents detailed suggestions to amend the alleged flaws.
