David Cambria is a little busy now. His company, Aon Corporation, the insurance brokerage and risk management firm, recently completed its acquisition of human resources specialist Hewitt Associates, and he’s got some integrating to do.

The fact that Aon’s law department has Cambria as its director of operations to plan for and measure the integration of lawyers from a newly acquired company is itself a kind of benchmark of progress.
