Many say there is a movement toward alternative fees, new staffing patterns and/or value-based relationships. Others suggest that there has been more talk than action.

One thing is for sure: There is a serious shortage of data. To remedy that, the Association of Corporate Counsel and The American Lawyer (a sibling publication of Corporate Counsel) on Sept. 21 launched a survey of ACC members and, with this notice, readers of the Corporate Counsel Web site.
