Fast facts: In the fast-paced world of startups, Horowitz is sprinting to the head of the pack. Like most young-company leaders, he started early by driving the creation of the now-thriving UC-Hastings’ Innovation Law Clinics, which give students a jump-start on practice in biotech and other technology industries. Within a year of launching his own startup, EmCom Law, he was general counsel to an enviable client base that included group-fund company Crowdtilt, where he currently serves in house.
