SAN FRANCISCO — Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, an Orange County-based midsize firm, is scrambling to recruit a seasoned tax lawyer after its two-partner tax team decamped for another firm this week.
Stephen Freeman, who headed the practice, and Gregory Hartker joined the Orange County office of K&L Gates on Wednesday as partners. The moves come on the heels of the departure of corporate partner MichaelHedge, who joined K&L Gates in December. Corporate associate Joshua Lane also moved to K&L Gates this week.
