SAN FRANCISCO — Lawyers at Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin weren’t looking to add a securities litigator, and Tower Snow Jr. wasn’t talking to smaller firms during his recent job hunt , but the two have found each other.

The former Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison chairman joined the 105-lawyer San Francisco firm Thursday as an equity partner after four years outside the practice of law. Leaders at the firm say they are banking on Snow’s experience and connections in the business community.
