Another individual charged with child pornography possession in the Northern District has committed suicide.
Oscar Merino, 43, was staying with his brother in San Pablo when he shot himself in the head early in the morning Aug. 10, three days before Merino was set to plead guilty. He faced between 60 and 92 months in prison, according to federal Public Defender Barry Portman.
