With a reputation for its litigators and commitment to pro bono work, Morrison & Foerster entered 2009 with more than 1,000 lawyers in 17 offices (it abandoned Orange County in April ’08) in the United States, Asia and Europe. A longtime San Francisco institution, the firm was one of the early players in the Asia market. The firm’s strength in bankruptcy and IP will help it weather the current economic storm, says Chairman Keith Wetmore.
