SACRAMENTO � A state disciplinary panel has charged a Riverside County judge with willful misconduct in connection with allegations that he backdated tardy orders, held improper ex parte communications with potential witnesses and failed to cooperate with investigators.
The Commission on Judicial Performance launched formal proceedings Wednesday against Superior Court Judge Robert George Spitzer, a 16-year veteran of the Riverside County courts’ civil and criminal divisions.
