Clifford Chance has entered into an alliance with newly-established Jakarta firm Linda Widyati & Partners.
Founders Linda Widyati and Dezi Kirana, who launched the new firm in November, previously headed the banking and finance practice for Indonesian firm Soemadipradja & Taher. They both specialize in capital market transactions as well as mergers and acquisitions, representing clients including the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd.
Linda Widyati currently has five lawyers, including its founding partners.
Clifford Chance says Linda Widyati will work closely with its own Indonesia practice. The British Magic Circle firm’s global M&A head Jeroen Koster, who relocated to Singapore from Amsterdam in August, will lead the group, which also includes partners based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.
Worldwide, Clifford Chance has around 3,400 lawyers in 36 offices.
