Joe Fried’s journey to becoming one of the top truck-crash lawyers in the nation began in college, when he worked as a police officer in Atlanta, first at Georgia Tech and then with Fulton County.

As a 19-year-old, Fried spent a year at the Georgia Tech Police Department and joined the Fulton Police Department at age 20½, the minimum age for that department. He was at the time the youngest police officer Fulton had ever hired. Fried spent a total of six years as a cop, with the last two at both the Mountain Park and Woodstock police departments.
