Comcast signs a $2.6 million, 14,218-square-foot office lease in the Offices at Miramar Town Center for its advertising sales division.
Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Philadelphia-based cable company Comcast Corporation, signed a 7½-year, $2.6 million lease deal for office space in Miramar.
Comcast will occupy 14,218 square feet in the Offices at Miramar Town Center at 11606 City Hall Promenade just off Miramar Boulevard and near Florida’s Turnpike and I-75.
Its new home is a four-story Mediterranean-style building built in 2008 as part of a mixed-use development still under construction with retail, housing and municipal offices.
The building had an additional 18,000 square feet available for rent in 2012 but has since inked major deals with the U.S. General Services Administration, which signed for 15,000 square feet, and the Lopez & Morales law firm, which took 3,200 square feet. The Comcast deal puts the building at full occupancy.
Madelayne Garcia, director of Fort Lauderdale-based Stiles Realty, represented landlord Rock-Kim Miramar LLC, a New York-based investor.
Jonathan Kingsley and Stephen Rutchik, senior vice presidents of Jones Lang LaSalle, represented Comcast Spotlight.
