Jules Cohen is a partner at Akerman in Orlando and has spent six decades working on some of Florida’s most notable bankruptcy cases.

Cohen focused on assisting secured creditors, including representing Sony Corp., an aircraft manufacturer and an aircraft lessor in Braniff Airlines’ billion-dollar Chapter 11 proceedings. Cohen has also represented SunTrust Bank in the bankruptcy of a citrus processing company; the Texas Teachers Retirement System as mortgage holder in one of downtown Orlando’s most valuable high-rise office buildings; and a lender group with a $114 million secured claim against an affiliated group of manufacturing companies.
