A Broward County inmate has died after becoming infected with COVID-19, the Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed Wednesday.
The man died around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Northwest Medical Center, after being transferred from the North Broward Bureau. He was receiving treatment for the coronavirus, but a medical examiner has yet to determine his cause of death.
