More than $1 billion of the defamation damages against far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones were ruled nondischargeable by the bankruptcy court, but collection of the judgment might continue to be a challenge. 

Multiple defamation lawsuits have been filed against Jones by families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. So far, judgments of $1.4 billion in Connecticut and $49 million in Texas have been entered against Jones.
