The application process for the first-ever deputy chief state’s attorney/inspector general post is now closed and the state’s Criminal Justice Commission chairman says the process was open, fair and transparent.

Commission Chairman Andrew McDonald, also an associate Connecticut Supreme Court justice, said commissioners, who will ultimately choose the inspector general, are pleased that word was relayed to the Connecticut Bar Association and affinity bars that the application process was open to all attorneys with relevant criminal investigative experience.
