The claws are out in a fight over the Ripple Rug, a cat toy that a Danbury man is accused of ripping off and selling via infomercials under the name Purr N Play.

In a lawsuit filed March 30 in U.S. District Court in Bridgeport, the New York-based owners of SnugglyCat, which makes the Ripple Rug, claim Ronald Steblea performed “a bait-and-switch scheme” by selling their product under a different name. The lawsuit seeks at least $75,000 in damages from Steblea, who owns Rutledge & Bapst Inc.
