Visteon Corporation, a sputtering auto parts maker based outside Detroit, has lately been operating at a stop-and-go pace. The company filed for bankruptcy protection last May, and has since been working to reorganize under court supervision.

There’s been a retooling of the company’s in-house legal team too. John Donofrio, Visteon’s general counsel since 2005, left in September for another top lawyer job at The Shaw Group Inc., an energy and construction conglomerate based in Louisiana.
