Out from under the worst of its scandal-linked legal issues, News Corp. on Feb. 11 promoted David Pitofsky to general counsel and chief compliance officer. He succeeds Gerson Zweifach, who remains Group GC and CCO of 21st Century Fox Inc.
News Corp., which announced the changes Thursday in an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, had kept Zweifach in both companies’ GC roles on an interim basis since he helped the two entities split in mid-2013. Before the split, News Corp. was the parent company.
