Tara Flanagan will serve as the first general counsel of Trellix, a cybersecurity colossus formed through the merger of FireEye and the enterprise branch of McAfee Corp.

The private equity firm Symphony Technology Group in the first half of 2021 agreed to buy the  FireEye business for $1.2 billion and the McAfee enterprise business for $4 billion. The two units last month adopted the Trellix moniker.
