Nearly seven months into the pandemic, companies are still trying to wrangle vast amounts of data, determine their contractual obligations and get a better handle on the various force majeure, or “act of God,” provisions in the contracts.

“We’ve got clients with 5,000 property contracts. and they’ve only put a third of those into a readable digital format. And that’s if they can find them,” said David Holme, founder and CEO of London-based Exigent Group, a global alternative legal services provider and software company.
