Jones Day, whose pro bono efforts were recently recognized by The American Lawyer despite the firm’s ties to a controversial U.S. political candidate in the immigration arena, recently recruited two new partners on opposite coasts.

The firm announced last week its hire of Latham & Watkins IP and life sciences partner JOHN WEHRLI in San Diego, where his practice focused on first-chair representation of corporate clients in the biotechnology, renewable energy, medical device and pharmaceutical sectors.
