Clyde & Co. has recruited an insurance partner for its Singapore office.
Ian Roberts, previously a London partner with
Mayer Brown, will lead Clyde’s non-marine insurance practice in Southeast Asia. He advises mainly on claims in the property, construction and engineering area.
Roberts began his law career at
DLA Piper’s London office in 2002, moving to Mayer Brown in London a year later. In 2005, he left for Sydney to work at the firm now known as
Allens, but he returned to Mayer Brown in London two years later. He became a partner in 2011.
London-based Clyde’s Singapore office comprises 21 lawyers, including eight partners. The firm employs over 1,400 lawyers in 30 offices.
