Energy and infrastructure lawyer Greg Lavigne has departed Allen & Overy to join Sidley Austin as a partner in the firm’s energy, transportation, and infrastructure group based in New York.

Lavigne’s move to Sidley comes just weeks after partners at Allen & Overy and Shearman & Sterling overwhelmingly approved the merger of the two firms, with 99% of the votes cast in favor of the deal in October, paving the way for a completed tie-up in 2024.
