Selendy Gay Elsberg is planning to welcome its 15th partner—a notable exception for the New York trial boutique, which has championed a homegrown approach to talent. But the forthcoming arrival of Temidayo Aganga-Williams, a senior investigative counsel for the U.S. House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 Attack, is hardly an anomaly in Big Law’s hustle for talent in government-facing practices.

“Tem is a terrific fit for the firm because at this point in our history, at least a third if not more of our matters tend to involve investigations, contact with government investigators or working in parallel with the government in whistleblower situations or on congressional testimony,” said Selendy founding partner Faith Gay.
