While growth slowed for The Am Law 100 in 2015, the Second Hundred lagged a bit more. Its gross revenue decreased by an average of 3.2 percent last year, in contrast to an increase of 2.7 percent for The Am Law 100. In 2014, the Second Hundred saw gross revenue increase by an average of 2.1 percent.

Revenue per lawyer (RPL) and profits per partner (PPP) remained roughly flat, on average, for the Second Hundred. RPL increased 0.3 percent, to $649,023, while PPP inched up 0.1 percent, to $737,470. The Am Law 100, meanwhile, had an increase of 2.6 percent in RPL, to $894,253, and 4.0 percent in PPP, to $1.6 million.
