Herbert Smith Freehills Southeast Asia energy practice leader Richard Nelson is leaving to join King & Spalding in Singapore.
Nelson represents oil and gas companies on projects in the region, as well as South Asia and the Middle East. His start date at King & Spalding has yet been determined. He joined legacy Herbert Smith in Singapore in 2008 as a partner to launch the firm’s energy practice in Singapore. Previously he worked at Linklaters in London for nine years and was seconded during that time to BP Plc.
