China’s Zhong Lun Law Firm has added a partner in Shanghai.
Gary Gao was most recently a disputes partner at Shanghai’s Duan & Duan Law Firm. Gao advises on cross-border commercial litigation and international arbitration. He has helped multinationals, including General Electric, Rio Tinto Group and GlaxoSmithKline plc, conduct compliance policy reviews and respond to government investigations.
Gao joined Duan & Duan in 1998 and became a partner in 2002. In 1995, he cofounded Tian He Law Firm, which went on to merge with two other firms and become part of AllBright Law Offices in 1999. Earlier in his career, he served as a judge at a district court in Shanghai.
Zhong Lun has about 220 lawyers in Shanghai. Globally, the firm has over 800 lawyers in 10 offices.
