Columbia University has canceled its university-wide ceremony scheduled for May 15 and will instead focus on individual school ceremonies.
“Based on input and feedback from student leaders, the university has decided to focus attention on class days and school-level ceremonies, where students are honored individually alongside their peers, and to [forgo] the University-wide ceremony that is scheduled for May 15,” according to an update posted at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
