Former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York Rudy Giuliani will have to pay $148 million to two Georgia election workers he accused of fraud, after U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell shot down his appeal of a defamation judgment against him on April 15.

After the 2020 Election, Giuliani targeted poll workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss of Fulton County, Georgia, stating to Georgia lawmakers in a committee of the state Legislature that Freeman and Moss were shown in a video circulating online “surreptitiously passing around USB ports,” allegedly manipulating voting results.
