U.S. District Judge Katherine Polk Failla of the Southern District of New York on Monday dismissed the solar power startup Origis USA from a lawsuit relating to a buyout transaction, while allowing some claims to proceed against the company’s former CEO Guy Vanderhaegen.
In 2023, Origis USA and Vanderhaegen were sued by former shareholders based in Belgium, where the company Origis Energy was founded prior to winding down in favor of Origis USA, which is based in Miami.
