A Massachusetts federal judge determined the court lacked personal jurisdiction over a COVID-19 vaccine patent case, transferring the matter to Virginia.

Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton for the District of Massachusetts transferred an action filed by Pfizer and BioNTech seeking declaratory judgment that they don’t infringe certain patents of CureVac AG relating to the COVID-19 vaccine to the Eastern District of Virginia, after determining the court lacked jurisdiction.
