Michael Waterstone, the Fritz B. Burns Dean of Loyola Law School and senior vice president of Loyola Marymount University, has been named dean of the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.

Waterstone, referred to as a “nationally recognized expert in disability and civil rights law,” will become dean of UCLA Law on Aug. 15, according to the school’s announcement.
