Dror Futter. (Editor and Author of Chapter 2, Legal Mechanics of Organizing Corporations and Chapter 7, The Venture Financing Process). Mr. Futter is a venture capital and technology partner at Rimon PC, a pioneering global virtual law firm. Prior to joining Rimon, Mr. Futter was a corporate partner at the New Jersey offices of McCarter & English and Sorin Rand. Before returning to private practice, Mr. Futter was the general counsel of Vidyo, Inc., a venture-backed video conferencing company, and New Venture Partners LLC, a venture capital fund that focused on corporate spinouts. He was also a division counsel at Lucent Technologies, representing the sourcing organization and the Chief Information Officer.

Mr. Futter has significant experience in the areas of venture structuring and finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate spinouts, outsourcing, licensing, and a wide range of technology commercial agreements.

He serves on the Legal Advisory Council of the Angel Capital Association and served on the model forms drafting committee of the National Venture Capital Association for almost fifteen years. He is the founder and co-chair of the Venture Capital Law Seminar of the Practicing Law Institute (PLI) and previously founded and co-chaired PLI’s Blockchain Law Seminar.

Mr. Futter mentors at Princeton University’s Keller Center, the Stevens’ Institute of Technology and TJE – The Jewish Entrepreneur. He also presents annually at Cornell-Technion. In 2023, Mr. Futter was appointed to the New Jersey-Israel Commission of the State of New Jersey.
