Counsel for a Steve Bannon associate sentenced to prison last year for his role in a fundraising scheme told an appeals court on Tuesday that a prosecutor’s mentorship of one juror’s daughter raises questions of impropriety at the trial.

Thomas Nooter of Freeman, Nooter & Ginsberg, who represents defendant Timothy Shea, argued that the three-judge panel should “remand this case, at the very least, for further inquiry into this question of jury impropriety.”
