A CEO represented by Doug Kertscher of Hill Kertscher & Warton recently secured a $1 million verdict out of Bibb County, almost half of which is attorney fees, after bringing claims of breach of contract, failure to pay severance and failure to issue stock against his employer. Kertscher also prevailed against counterclaims filed by his client’s opponents, represented by W. Jonathan Martin II and David Cromer of Constangy Brooks Smith & Prophete.

Kerschter said this case was uniquely challenging because of the serious nature of the allegations against his client and was notable to him because the jury gave nearly the exact amount—98%—of what he asked for.
