UnitedHealth Group announced Nov. 20 that it has picked up a new chief legal officer as its current legal leader prepares to retire.

The Minnetonka, Minnesota-based health care company announced that Matthew Friedrich will take over as executive vice president and chief legal officer Jan. 21, 2021. He will replace Marianne Short who will be retiring from the company after serving as chief legal officer for the past seven years.
