YouTube content creators James ‘Onision’ Jackson and Laineybot a/k/a Kai, as well as Google and YouTube were named in a lawsuit on Oct. 6 in California Northern District Court under the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act. The lawsuit was brought by the Haba Law Firm and Marsh Law Firm on behalf of a plaintiff who claims the individual defendants used YouTube to groom her as a minor to engage in sexual acts and exchange illicit material. The case is 4:23-cv-05127, Alonso v. Google LLC.
