Forge Global Holdings Inc,. an online marketplace for unregistered securities for private companies, has named a new top in-house lawyer after going public earlier this year through a $2 billion merger with a special-purpose acquisition company.

Johnathan Short has taken over as San Francisco-based Forge’s chief legal officer— a newly created position overseeing legal, compliance and people operations—after having most recently founded Differential Strategies, a consulting firm in Atlanta that caters to the financial services industry.
