A federal judge has rejected a summary judgment motion from Los Angeles County in Vanessa Bryant’s lawsuit over photographs sheriff’s deputies took after the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant.

The order Wednesday clears the way for trial, with Judge John F. Walter of the  U.S. District Court for the Central District of California citing only Bryant’s opposition to the motion as his reason for concluding “that there are genuine issues of material fact for trial.”
