The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit granted a rare en banc hearing Friday for a Tennessee abortion law that has divided the judges and pulled attorneys general from around the country into the argument on both sides.

Attorneys general from 20 states around the country took on their colleague from Tennessee Thursday to challenge new abortion restrictions. The Democratic attorneys general filed an amicus brief supporting a group of Tennessee abortion providers in Bristol Regional Women’s Center v. Slatery.
