1. What makes a good judge?

I believe that a good judge must possess knowledge of the law; the ability to interpret both the statutory and the case law which are controlling in the case at issue; the ability to remain impartial and unbiased; the ability to make decisions which are not influenced by one’s own opinions and beliefs but which follow the laws as written by the legislature and the cases which have set precedent as to the interpretation of those laws.
