When the smoke cleared following Tuesday’s primary election in Bucks County, the three judicial candidates backed by the two major political parties appeared to have a monopoly on Republican votes. Democratic votes, however, were a different story.

While Wallace H. “Skip” Bateman Jr., Robert O. Baldi and Gary Gilman, the three candidates jointly backed by the GOP and the Democratic Party, received the most votes on the Republican ballot, unendorsed Republican David W. Zellis managed to attract more Democratic votes than Bateman.
