If you missed the late-August 2023 oral argument session of the Pennsylvania Superior Court in Philadelphia, when end-of-summer vacation schedules are typically in full swing, you missed the final oral argument session at which Senior Judge Dan Pellegrini will be participating as a member of the Superior Court.

Pellegrini’s complete judicial biography, available at the Superior Court’s website, reveals a life dedicated to public service in one form or another. He joined the appellate bench in 1989—the same year I graduated from law school—elected as a judge of the Commonwealth Court. He was retained for two more 10-year terms as a judge of that court in 1999 and 2009.
