A personal injury lawsuit may stay in Philadelphia despite the fact that three witnesses, the accident site, the plaintiff’s medical records and the plaintiff himself resided over 100 miles away, the Pennsylvania Superior Court ruled.

The three-judge panel on Wednesday reversed a trial court’s determination that Philadelphia was an improper venue to house Columbia County resident John Ehmer’s suit over his collision with a tractor-trailer.
