Wednesday served up another busy day at One First St NE, as the court again issued two rulings and heard oral arguments in a criminal appeal, which featured Justice Samuel Alito Jr.’s nightmare-fueled reference to a defendant “like Hannibal Lecter” who “hideously tortured 25 children.” Yikes.
