The court heard oral arguments in two cases Wednesday to close out its March oral argument session, its penultimate two-week sitting of the term. The justices will convene for a private conference on Thursday to take an initial vote and make opinion assignments for the week’s argued cases, including Tuesday’s blockbuster hearing over the abortion drug mifepristone. Also on their agenda will be pending petitions for certiorari, or review, many of which they will likely deny in a forthcoming orders list on Monday at 9:30 a.m.
